Our secret stashaway!!!!

My husband and I have a secret stash..After the kids go to bed we tip toe like two teenagers raiding their parents liquor cabinet into the garage..In the outside freezer behind the large bag of frozen broccoli (Right now your thinking..Damn what a great hiding place no kid would grab for broccoli) is a large gallon of cookie dough ice cream. Giggling we sneak into the kitchen and scoop two large bowls..smother them in spinkles and whip cream . We try to be quiet..Even the faintest clinking of spoons will awake our two year old like a rooster at 4 a.m…..First, you know we lecture them about eating healthy..tonight they ate granola bars . We can’t be hypocrites . Second who can truly enjoy a bowl of ice cream when you are hearing a chorus of voices whining…Mommy can I have a bite? Are those rainbow sprinkles? Mommy let me lick your spoon. Daddy can I taste yours?? AHHH!!!! (me screaming) So for now this is our fix..our addiction..our being naughty… So g rated,, even a little sad..but a little slice of sanity in our house.

Very cute! I'm right there with you. I have to hide my oreos from not only my son but my husband...because they are both awful. The bag would be gone inside of two days.

I have been there. Believe me I know how it is. Sometimes you want to have something just for yourself daggonit. So you have to become creative and hide and stash any way possible. But the problem with me is I always feel guilty. 8( Not my husband though. He will make up every excuse of all the things our son has already had for that day lol

hahah we totally do the same thing. We do it with fast food though. After the kids are sound asleep, one of us makes a run for a pig out at Taco Bell lol

It's the least we can do to treat ourselves like that! I'm not above sneaking like that either!

The BF and I try to do this but my son's too old. He searches in the freezer all teh time for his desert or snack. Boy is 9yrs old and already eating me out of house and home. He also doesn't ask to lick the spoon, he;ll stand in fron of me with that sad sad, i'm so hungry look on his face asking for the entire bowl. I'm susch a softy too that I'd give it to him. He can play me like the devil plays the fiddle. But that's my only baby boy.

It's just one of the perks of being the grown-up! Enjoy!! Love the hiding it behind the brocculi--very sneaky, Natalee.
